My name is Patricia, I'm an Editor, Writer and Colorist based in Brazil, and I'm here in search of an artist for a YA Dystopian graphic novel.
The story revolves around a cluster of rebels trying to retrieve a magic river from the control of their government. Elements of High Fantasy are mixed together with a gritty Dystopia. Among other themes there are an LGBT+ love interest, a reverse Chosen One and one big twist at the end.
This would be aimed at a mentorship opportunity provided by Bedside Press. There's no guaranteed compensation besides professional feedback from a medium sized publisher, but best case scenario we get a publishing deal with either Bedside themselves or some other publisher recommended by them.
Who am I looking for: Someone with a light, youthful and airy style, yet still detailed where it has to be. In an ideal world I would love someone able to emulate Rosi Kämpe's style, but everything fitting the bill is welcome.
I request only the first five pages for the pitch, and only pencils as I can ink, color and letter myself (but you are welcome to do more than just pencils if it conveniences you). There will be a deadline, but plotted around your schedule.
Please email me at patricialoupee [at] gmail.com with links to your samples (preferably ArtStation, Behance, or personal site. DevianArts should be up to date and Instagram and Facebook will be disregarded, as I don't use them).
